WAGGA WAGGA.
This township is situated on the Murrumbidgee,310 miles from Sydney and
400 miles from Melbourne. The country around is of a pastoral character, though
the soil is of a rich description, and highly favourable to the production of
the grape, wheat, and other cereals. The Wagga Wagga bridge over the Murrumbidgee
was open for traffic on the 27th October 1862. Population, 627.
